据互联网电影数据库IMDB的资料介绍，由M. Night Shyamalan担任编剧并指导的电影《阿凡达：最后的气宗》（IMDB将它归类于冒险、动作与科幻类）将于7月2日在全美上映。

目前《阿凡达：最后的气宗》已经推出了电影（电视）广告预告版与facebook游戏版为7月份的电影进行预热。游戏和电影场景发生在一个奇异的世界，那里的水、空气和土地都被火族所侵占，所有和平的希望都寄托在最后一个仅存的阿凡达人Aang身上。

Paramount has unleashed new promotional materials for M. Night Shyamalan’s adaptation of the popular Avatar: The Last Airbender cartoon, including a new game on Facebook!

The Last Airbender  takes place in a fantastic world where the Air, Water, and Earth Nations have been consumed in conflict with the cruel Fire Nation. All hope for a peaceful world seems lost until the discovery that young Aang (played by Noah Ringer) is the last remaining Avatar, a being capable of controlling all four elements. Accompanied by Katara (Nicola Peltz), a Waterbender, and her brother Sokka (Jackson Rathbone), Aang quests to defeat Fire Lord Ozai (Cliff Curtis) and bring an end to the conflict that has nearly destroyed his world.

Produced in conjunction with MTV Films and Nickelodeon Movies, M. Night Shyamalan’s movie is based on the popular animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender that aired for three seasons on Nickelodeon and the Nicktoons Network. The movie is the first chapter in a planned trilogy.

In addition to the new new still (above) and action-packed TV spot for the movie, Paramount has also launched the “Become the Avatar”  game on Facebook.
