1,My list of highly anticipated space RPG’s has room for another entry, as it seems developers just love teasing these awesome looking games in development. On the PC we’ve got Star Citizen, Drifter hopefully eventually will get released on mobile, and now Crescent Moon Games’ Stellar Wanderer has thrown its hat into the ring. Details are scant so far, with the game being described as a “space fighter / mining RPG”. Here’s some screenshots:

According to Crescent Moon’s post in our forums, “It has full voice over, you can choose from various classes. Enough stats to choke a camel.
Take on various missions, or freely explore the galaxy.” More details are coming soon, and as usual when it comes to Crescent Moon stuff, the best place to get more details is going to be the thread on our forums.(source:touch arcade

2,Machine Zone and Ember Entertainment said yesterday that they settled Machine Zone’s copyright lawsuit that accused Ember of copying Game of War: Fire Age, one of the top-grossing titles in mobile gaming history.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. In April 2015, Machine Zone alleged in a federal lawsuit that Ember’s original version of Empire Z used Game of War elements.

In a joint statement, the companies said, “Ember used some elements of Game of War: Fire Age in the original version of Empire Z, for which Ember apologizes. Ember has taken steps to remove these elements from the current and any future versions of Empire Z.”

Game of War debuted in July 2013 and has slowly climbed up the top-grossing charts. It has been in the top three for a long time, and it has been downloaded tens of millions of times. Kate Upton, pictured above, starred in a series of Game of War commercials that made the strategy game well-known around the globe.

Ember launched Empire Z in May 2014. The lawsuit alleged that features of Empire Z were only cosmetically different from features of Game of War. The features had different names, but Machine Zone claimed they were the same.(from venturebeat

3,Microsoft has confirmed that the adventurer’s latest outing, the excellent Rise of the Tomb Raider (one of the 10 best games of the year), has reached “well over” 1 million copies sold through to consumers. In a tweet, Xbox marketing exec Aaron Greenberg specifically noted that Rise made a lot of those sales in December. And that would make sense, considering the game didn’t chart on the top-10 list of best-selling new games at U.S. retailers last month, according to industry-tracking firm The NPD Group.

This also puts a bit more of a positive shine on the Xbox One’s holiday lineup since Rise of the Tomb Raider was one of the system’s big exclusives during the holiday season.

@PNF4LYFE It is sell-through and well over 1M units, big December!

This news also suggests that Rise of the Tomb Raider could have strong legs. The action-adventure game, which tells a coming-of-age story for the rebooted Lara Croft, debuted on the Xbox One the same day that Fallout 4 released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Publisher Bethesda’s massive post-apocalyptic role-playing game turned into an instant success and was one of the most talked-about releases of the year. Rise of the Tomb Raider seemed to wither under that shadow. But since then, with Rise getting high praise from critics and landing on numerous “best of” lists for 2015, the game has emerged as something of a sleeper hit.

Rise of the Tomb Raider will debut on PC this month, according to Microsoft. That release could now benefit from some space from the crowded fourth quarter, along with all the positive word-of-mouth buzz.(source:venturebeat.com

4,Sony refreshed its PlayStation 4 sales figures today, putting the system’s worldwide installed user base at 35.9 million.

That figure represents a jump of 5.7 million systems sold in the busy holiday season (or the six weeks prior to January 3, to be more precise). That holiday season also stands as the PlayStation 4′s best to date. The 2014 holiday stretch saw Sony move 4.1 million PS4s, while the system sold through 4.2 million units after its debut holiday season in 2013.

PS4 games also enjoyed brisk sales, with Sony estimating a total of 35 million software sales through digital and physical storefronts over the same stretch of time. As one would expect, those software numbers have grown with the PS4′s installed base. This year’s software total was nearly double last holiday season’s 17.8 million games sold, and up from 9.7 million sold during the launch holiday season.

Finally, Sony said PlayStation Plus subscriptions during the holiday season were up 60 percent year-over-year.(source:gamesindustry.biz
