1,Glu Mobile has announced the launch of Kim Kardashian: Hollywood on Facebook. The game was originally released on mobile, and has held high positions on the Top Grossing App chart on iTunes since its launch in late June. In the game, players go from being a nobody to a superstar by completing quests, going on dates, having photo shoots, managing their social media presence and more to please fans and other characters, including Kim Kardashian West herself.

This Facebook release sees players clicking and dragging their mouse to move around environments. Players can furnish their apartments with new furniture pieces, can purchase pets with premium currency, and can keep their character in the hottest fashions, which continue to unlock as players complete quests and level up.

With this release, players can take their existing (or new) romances to a new level in the game by planning a dream wedding in Florence, Italy. Users can pick out a dress or tuxedo, choose a ring and more.

Additional updates include new clothing and other in-game items, as well as the ability to complete new quests with your spouse. Players receive free gifts for logging into the game on Facebook or mobile, and will eventually start receiving video messages from Kim herself.

“I really enjoy engaging with my fans through Facebook and Instagram, that’s why I’m so excited that Kim Kardashian: Hollywood is now available on Facebook,” said Kim Kardashian West, in a statement. “I continue to be so proud of this project and hope my fans enjoy the fun updates coming soon!”(source:insidesocialgames

2,Mobile developer and publisher Nekki has announced its most recent game, Shadow Fight 2, has surpassed 35 million downloads on iOS and Android devices. The game pulls in 1.5 million daily average users across both platforms worldwide, as players compete to become the best fighter possible while collecting rare armor and weapons.

In Shadow Fight 2, users are turned into a shadow ninja by a group of evil demons. Now trapped in this new form, players are required to travel the earth, defeating these monsters. In each multi-round battle, players use a virtual joystick alongside kick and punch buttons to attack enemies, performing combos and draining their enemy’s health in the process. The game combines this combat gameplay with RPG elements, as users collect weapons and armor to make their warrior stronger over time.

Shadow Fight 2 is the sequel to the original Shadow Fight on Facebook, which has been played by over 46 million people. In total, Nekki has amassed over 160 million downloads / installs for all of its games, across all platforms. Specifically, Shadow Fight 2 has reached the No. 1 position on the iTunes App Store and Google Play in 100 countries since its launch last May.

“We are thrilled to see such an enthusiastic reception for Shadow Fight 2, allowing us to reach 35 million downloads in under four months,” said Nekki co- founder and CEO Dmitry Terekhin, in a release. “Our goal is to always create games that we want to play, and we know we’ve gotten it right when our community of loyal and vocal fans use the power of word-of-mouth to propel our games to the top of the charts.”(source:insidemobileapps

3,The 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. has enjoyed strong launches in Australia, the US, and the UK, with Nintendo revealing that the game has sold more than 2.8 million copies worldwide.

The news will surely put a spring in the firm’s step as it prepares to tackle the upcoming holiday season head-on, while also demonstrating that with the right game, its portable gaming system can still pack a punch.

Indeed, in an attempt to build momentum in the run up to Christmas, Nintendo has also revealed that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will be released in North America on November 21

Perfect start

Nintendo of America’s executive VP of sales and marketing, Scott Moffitt, believes the the popularity of Super Smash Bros., combined with the commerical appeal of the company’s amiibo figurines, will ensure Nintendo has a holiday to remember.

“Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is already in the hands of more than 2.8 million people worldwide, and the road ahead looks great,” said Moffitt.

“Nintendo’s holiday software lineup is more than impressive, and our amiibo figures start a new chapter in the world of Nintendo interactive entertainment.

“With so many great experiences available, this holiday season is going to be an amazing time to be a Nintendo fan.”(source:pocketgamer

4,Microsoft launched the Xbox One in China, the first video game console there in 14 years, on September 29, only two days before the “golden week holiday.” Considering it’s the first console to be sold since the ban, it’s hard to judge performance, but Chinese news site 17173.com (via Kotaku) has reported that Xbox One did sell more than 100,000 units during its first week in China. To compare that to another Asian territory, Xbox One could only sell about 30,000units during its first month in Japan.

Our own Rob Fahey believes that Xbox has problems outside of any Anglo-American markets, but if Microsoft is able to continue racking up sales in China, that theory may be disproved. Zhang and Shanghai Media Group, the parent company of Microsoft’s China partner BesTV, noted that the goal is to sell over 1 million Xbox One consoles in China within a year.

Time will tell just how successful Microsoft will be in China, but the company certainly has its share of skeptics. Developer American McGee, who’s based in Shanghai, proclaimed back in May that Xbox One would fail in China. He noted that the impact of piracy is massive and that most gamers get their entertainment fix on mobile and PC in the country.(source:gamesindustry
