该部件本次载入的Zynga游戏包括《Dream Zoo》、《Zombie Smash》、《Words with Firends》、《Hanging with Friends》、《Zynga Poker》以及《Scramble with Friends》。

4)在本周MAU增长最快的Facebook游戏榜单上,Zynga游戏《FarmVille 2》仍然位居榜首,新增630万MAU,增幅达11%。

1)[Update] Exclusive: Ubisoft cancels Ghost Recon Commander, layoffs hit Loot Drop

Mike Thompson

Update: Ubisoft has confirmed the Ghost Recon Commander’s cancelation. “Ghost Recon Commander will unfortunately be discontinued because the game play mechanics did not resonate with the core gamer audience.  For our Ghost Recon fans, we will continue to operate Ghost Recon Commander from now until the end of the calendar year with monetization removed.  This decision does not reflect a change of strategy for any of Ubisoft’s other social games currently in development or operation.”

Original article is below.

We’ve learned Ubisoft canceled its Ghost Recon’s social game franchise Ghost Recon Commander, forcing developer Loot Drop to let go of the game’s development team. Loot Drop co-founder Brenda Romero (formerly Brenda Brathwaite) confirmed this with us moments ago.

This is a major shift from what we were told at Ubisoft’s Digital Day in August, when VP of Digital Publishing Chris Early told us the game was actually going to be ported to iPad and that the publisher was happy with the updates Loot Drop had implemented into the game since it launched.

At the moment, the game still loads on Facebook and its official app page doesn’t have any notice about the game’s impending shutdown.

We’ve reached out to Ubisoft and will update the story when we receive a response.

Ghost Recon Commander was Loot Drop’s first game and was certainly its highest-profile title. The game was designed to be played alongside Ubisoft’s AAA Ghost Recon: Future Soldier to create cross-platform promotions, with both versions unlocking exclusive content like weapons, characters and skins. At the Digital Day event, we were also told there were plans to incorporate Ghost Recon Commander with future Ghost Recon titles from Ubisoft.

Although Ghost Recon Commander didn’t really catch on with social players initially, the game’s traffic has actually been at its highest levels recently: Our AppData traffic-tracking service shows Ghost Recon Commander currently has 180,000 monthly active users and 20,000 daily active users. Prior to mid-October, the game’s best traffic was 100,000 MAU and 10,553 DAU.

Ubisoft’s other social games don’t seem to have been affected by this development. AppData shows the company’s top four social titles are still The Smurfs & Co. (with 650,000 MAU and 70,000 DAU), CSI: Crime City (540,000 MAU/50,000 DAU), House M.D.: Critical Cases (510,000 MAU/60,000 DAU) and CSI: Miami Heat Wave (460,000 MAU/50,000 DAU). Still, Ubisoft’s numbers are significantly lower than their September 2011 peaks of 1.8 million DAU and 13.8 million MAU; currently the company has 274,806 DAU and 2.78 million MAU.

The fate of Ghost Recon Commander may mark the company’s intent to sunset other underperforming social titles, much like Zynga said it would last week after it shut down several studios and laid off approximately 5 percent of its work force. Ubisoft hasn’t announced any plans like this yet, but it might be trying to pre-emptively trim some fat from its social games catalog after Zynga’s underwhelming earnings report and the news that browser game developer Bigpoint had also been forced to let approximately 40 of its employees go from its San Francisco office.

Romero tells us that while the Ghost Recon Commander team was forced to be let go, the developer still has two other projects in development and is continuing to operate Pettington Park on Google+. This has been a rough couple of weeks for the developer, as it was recently forced to cancel the role-playing game it was trying to launch via Kickstarter.(source:

2)On GREE: Konami’s Dragon Collection Hits 7 Million Users [Social Games]

by Dr. Serkan Toto

Konami’s biggest social game Dragon Collection is now counting 7 million registered users, the company announced today. The title is exclusively available on GREE.

Dragon Collection was released on GREE on September 14, 2010, meaning it took 780 days to reach the 7 million user milestone.

Dragon Collection is widely recognized to have triggered the social card game boom in Japan and to be the main reason for Konami’s explosive growth in the social game segment.

To commemorate the milestone, the company not only started a number of in-game campaigns but also released a Dragon Collection iOS app today. That app comes with an opening movie and sound effects (whereas the original version is completely silent), amongst other things:

The game recently became available in the Canadian App Store (in English), too.(source:serkantoto

3)T-Mobile partners with Zynga, brings games widget to customers

Mike Thompson

In an effort to bring new and exclusive gaming and social features to T-Mobile customers, the telecom company has partnered with Zynga to create a widget that links to Zynga games available for T-Mobile customers starting today.

The Zynga Games widget is said to make it easier for customers to find games and friends to play with. The widget features three different tabs. The first tab is a catalog of Zynga games compatible with the widget. Second is the profile tab that shows games the user has played and other friends playing the same games. Lastly, a mashup of the games and profile tabs that displays what friends are playing and the multiple games that they are playing. From there, users can challenge friends in any of those Zynga games.

The widget is pre-loaded on the LG Optimus L9, which launches this Wednesday, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, which launched on Oct. 24. The widget is also available to all T-Mobile customers through T-Mobile’s Bonus Apps Program, which is a widget where the company can virtually pre-load apps to a phone that come from Google Play or apps hosted on its own servers.

T-Mobile has previously partnered with game developer Rovio when the telecom company added the ability to purchase the “Mighty Eagle” (a gameplay mechanic that initiates a Mighty Eagle coming in to help users stuck on a particular level) for $1 in Angry Birds. It was the first time carrier billing had been implemented into a Rovio game. T-Mobile also partnered with game network WildTangent to bring a game rental service to T-Mobile customers.

The Zynga games featured in the widget include Dream Zoo, Zombie Smash, Words with Friends, Hanging with Friends, Zynga Poker and Scramble with Friends.

T-Mobile has also partnered with video game giant Electronic Arts and gaming accessory manufacturer PowerA. With EA, T-Mobile is bringing Need for Speed Most Wanted to its customers the same day as the console release tomorrow. The game will be pre-loaded on the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and LG Optimus L9, which features four free exclusive events for T-Mobile customers. With PowerA, T-Mobile will be selling the Moga game controller online and in-store.(source:insidesocialgames

4)FarmVille 2 continues to dominate fastest-growing Facebook games by MAU

Mike Thompson

Zynga’s FarmVille 2 is still growing like a weed, taking the top spot on this week’s list of fastest-growing games by monthly active user with 6.3 million MAU for an 11 percent increase.

Zynga’s Ruby Blast reappeared on the list after a substantial absence, taking the No. 2 spot with 2.8 million MAU for a 67 percent gain. EA’s JetSet Secrets was came in at No. 3 with a 59 percent gain due to its 480,000 MAU. Peak Games’ Lost Jewels was up by 400,000 MAU, a 12 percent gain that allowed it to take the No. 4 placing. Finally, Peak Games’ Lost Bubble came in at No. 5 with a 7 percent gain and 400,000 MAU.

As it’s the end of the month, the titles appearing on this week’s list saw much smaller MAU percentage gains than would in earlier weeks. Four of the remaining apps on the list saw traffic increase by 25 percent or more. FunPlus Game’s Family Farm was up by 400,000 MAU for a 27 percent increase. CookApps’ Diggle took in 200,000 MAU for a 25 percent gain. SlotoBOOM: 3D Slots brought in 190,000 MAU for a 211 percent traffic increase. Finally, the clone of Angry Birds Space, Angry Space Birds, was up by 44 percent with 180,000 MAU.(source:insidesocialgames
