1，Lima Sky has partnered with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment to release a new mobile title in the popular Doodle Jump franchise: Doodle Jump DC Super Heroes. Beginning with Batman, the game will feature gameplay and environments inspired by the greatest heroes and villains from DC Comics, including Superman and Wonder Woman. In this initial version, players chase down villains using Batman’s superior technology in order to save Gotham City.
In each game of Doodle Jump DC Super Heroes, players tilt their device to guide The Doodler (dressed as Batman) ever higher into the sky as they bounce off of platforms, tapping on the screen to shoot Batarangs at enemies that move around the environment. Players must avoid collapsable platforms that provide no “bounce,” explosive platforms that detonate after getting too close, and more.（source：insidemobileapps.com ）
2，It’s been a while since Bomberman’s last console appearance, but at least our favorite grid-trodding explosives enthusiast is blowing his friends to bits once more in Japan. The simply-titled Bomerman has appeared in Japan’s Google Play and App Store courtesy of Konami, the publisher that acquired now-defunct Bomberman series developer Hudson in 2012.
According to Siliconera’s translation, Bomberman doesn’t bother with a story mode, instead offering classically-styled competitive modes. Single Battle pits your wits against CPU-controlled opponents, while Battle With Everyone lets up to four friends rediscover how much they despise each other via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connections. Bomber Coliseum plays like a time attack mode, where players face off against CPUs and unlock “boss characters” by defeating them.
Konami’s Bomerman is free, but both store listings mention the presence of in-app purchases. Konami has yet to share any plans to release Bomberman in regions beyond Japan.（source：joystiq.com ）
3，Blizzard used today’s BlizzCon opening ceremony to announce its next new game, Overwatch. Described as an “approachable” team-based shooter, the game is playable at the event this weekend, and will be entering beta testing next year.
Heading up the Overwatch development team is game director Jeff Kaplan. His previous work at Blizzard includes serving as game director on the World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King expansion, with design work on the original game as well The Burning Crusade add-on.
Overwatch groups players into teams of six and pits them against one another in a variety of first-person shooter environments. Each player will play as a colorful Overwatch hero with his or her own distinct powers and attributes, from the giant talking ape Winston to the teleporting British test pilot Tracer. At the moment, Blizzard has 12 heroes and three maps in the game, but expects to add to those numbers over the course of development.
While Blizzard stressed an emphasis on accessibility for Overwatch, it did not state whether the game would adopt a free-to-play business model.
According to Kotaku, Overwatch is a revamped version of the player-versus=-player action of Blizzard’s long-in-development Titan, salvaged after that game was cancelled earlier this year. Analysts estimated Blizzard had sunk as much as $140 million into developing Titan as an MMORPG before finally pulling the plug.（source：gamesindustry ）
4，After losing $61 million in the first quarter, and losing $62.5 million in the second quarter, Zynga today revealed that it’s lost $57 million during its third quarter ended September 30. In the third quarter a year ago, net loss was only $68,000. “We aspire to do better and improve execution across our business,” Zynga CEO Don Mattrick said after the second quarter results.
Here’s what he had to say this time: “I am encouraged by the results of the quarter as we navigate through this time of transition. In Q3, we reported bookings at the high end of our guidance range and Adjusted EBITDA near the midpoint of our guidance range. Our teams have been working hard over the last year to reshape our business and we are seeing that work show up in two important areas – our franchise bookings and mobile bookings growth. Last quarter, our core franchises – Casino, Words With Friends and FarmVille – grew 30 percent year over year in terms of bookings, and we achieved meaningful growth in mobile with a 111 percent increase in mobile bookings annually.
“We have been operating with purpose and it has taken us some time to transform our business as we faced some execution challenges in the quarter. 2014 has been an investment year for us as we assembled a new leadership team, reorganized the company and reset our product pipeline. As we move forward and aggressively compete in an exciting market, we continue to believe that we are well positioned to take advantage of our global scale and diversified product
portfolio, and we remain committed to working together as a team to deliver long term value for our consumers, employees and shareholders.”（source： gamesindustry ）
