Telltale曾推出过成功的作品The Walking Dead 和The Wolf Among Us。
1，Telltale Games and Mojang have announced the development of Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Game Series for mobile devices. The game will be a narrative-driven, episodic experience, in keeping with Telltale’s previously successful titles like The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us. In it, players will meet new characters in the world of Minecraft they’ve come to know and love, but while the setting is familiar, the game will offer an entirely original experience for fans.
“Partnering with Mojang is a dream come true for us as game makers and as storytellers,” said Kevin Bruner, president and co-founder of Telltale Games, in a statement. “Minecraft is a world of infinite possibility and imagination. Working with the Mojang team on our own unique, story-driven interpretation of their fascinating universe is a tremendous honor. We simply cannot wait for fans across the world to take off with us on this new adventure.”
Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Game Series will be available to download on iOS and Android devices in 2015. The game is also coming to Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as PC and Mac. The game’s story will be written by Telltale, but Mojang and some community members will also have input, all in an attempt to make the game, as Mojang says, “as Minecrafty as possible.”（source：insidemobileapps.com ）
2，The Chinese gaming market is big and getting bigger. According to Xinhua News Agency, a new report from the China Audio-Video and Digital Publishing Association puts the country’s total gaming revenues this year at 114.5 billion yuan ($18.5 billion), up 37.7 percent year-over-year.
Mobile games showed particularly strong growth, up 145 percent year-over-year to 27.5 billion yuan ($4.4 billion). Social games were also up sharply, with revenues jumping 52.5 percent to 72.7 billion yuan ($11.7 billion).
Interestingly, the audience for gaming grew at a much slower pace than the industry’s revenues. The report found the country has about 517 million gamers in total, up just 4.6 percent from last year.（source：gamesindustry ）
3，Respawn Entertainment has wrapped up development of new content for its multiplayer shooter Titanfall, and while neither the developer nor publisher Electronic Arts have shared sales figures, studio founder Vince Zampella has given some indication of the game’s performance. Speaking with Game Informer, Zampella described the game as “obviously pretty successful.”
“I think we announced 7 million [entitlements - or unique players] a month ago or so or whatever,” Zampella said, adding, “We’re obviously still selling so we are closing in on 8 million now. So for us, as an early launch on a limited platform we’re pretty happy. I think the DLC has been pretty successful especially the last one – Frontier’s Edge – has been very well received.”
Zampella also addressed questions about exclusivity with the game, which is only available for PC users through EA’s own Origin service or on Microsoft’s consoles.（source:gamesindustry ）
