日前，RIM的应用商店黑莓App World低调推出了一项付费服务系统，支持黑莓用户从该应用商店网站直接购买和下载应用。

此举被认为是RIM对原先通过发送链接，诱导黑莓用户在该应用商店消费的一种修正，当时RIM的这一营销手段曾遭受业内的批评。

据了解，本次增加的这项付费功能，可让用户通过的贝宝交易系统（PayPal）、运营商计费系统或信用卡支付渠道，从该应用商店购买、下载和安装所有的应用软件。但使用这一功能前，用户首先要将Ap World安装工具下载添加到自己的浏览器上，而且仅支持微软操作系统，无法与苹果操作系统兼容。

但不管怎么说，这项服务的出台可以算是RIM兼顾用户和开发商所需的一项进步措施。

RIM rolls out direct web based purchases for BlackBerry App World

RIM’s approach to the sale of apps via the BlackBerry App World website, using a link sent to your BlackBerry, has resulted in criticism from certain quarters of the industry.

Regardless, the firm has today taken yet another step towards levelling the playing field, quietly unveiling a new purchase system that allows BlackBerry users to buy and download apps direct from the web.

As spotted by BerryReview, the webstore enables the purchase, download and installation of all apps on the marketplace, with money taken via PayPal, carrier billing or credit card payments.

Users need to download the new App World Installer add-on to their web browser, although the set up reportedly only supports Windows so far, with Mac users being told their OS is not compatible.

Nonetheless, its launch is yet more evidence of RIM altering its approach to accomodate the concerns of consumers and developers alike.

Advertising and analytics tools also joined the fold recently, while an official in app purchase system is also set to be unveiled in the coming months.（source:pocketgamer）
