Analyst firm Parks Associates predicts that the North American mobile apps market will be worth $2 billion this year.

However, it thinks that will have doubled to $4 billion by 2014 – that’s revenues from paid apps – while in-app ad revenues will top $860 million that year.

In fact, Parks thinks that the continuing demand for apps will help ad revenues rise sharply.

“As appetites for mobile apps grow, consumers will become more accepting of in-app ads,” says research analyst Heather Way.

“Our latest report shows 46% of adults 18-34 are either indifferent to in-app ads or willing to endure ads in free mobile apps.”（source：mobile-ent）
