1,Earlier this week, Apple put all their cards on the table when it came to the Apple Watch. We know the prices, we know the dates – we know everything you ’ll be able to do with it.

…except gaming.

But while Apple remained disappointingly mum on the subject of Apple Watch games, developers have not. And of all the Apple Watch games we’ve heard about so far, these seven are the ones we’re most excited to see when we glance down at our wrist.

Rules!

Without a doubt, Rules! was one of the coolest puzzle games of 2014. We liked its “remember all these rules in order” gameplay so much that it was one of our picks for the best iPhone games of that year. And as a game that requires no more interaction than tapping, it seems like a perfect fit for the Apple Watch. That said, the original game featured 16 tiles, and developer TheCodingMonkeys seems to have shrunk it to 4 (we assume because of size constraints).

BoxPop

Freshplanet are best known as the creators of the SongPop franchise, but over the last year they’ve released a treasure trove of cool little games you should be playing. In case you haven’t been, don’t worry – you’ll be able to make up for that when they bring BoxPop to your wrist: a great puzzle game that limits your movement to the L-shaped maneuvering of a Chess knight.

Hatchi

The App Store has no shorting of virtual pet games, and Hatchi might just be its most popular. It’s as close as you can get to a 90’s-era Tamagotchi — and now you’ll be able to feed and bathe your little fella right without ever having to pull your phone out of your pocket.

Zombies Run

“We’ll definitely support Apple Watch, but we can’t say yet exactly when that will happen!” reads the official Twitter account for Six to Start’s popular fitness game. And as a fitness game, this one just makes sense, right? Apple Watch has a huge appeal to the health community thanks to its biometrics tracking. When you’re trying to outrun a zombie, it’s important to keep track of your heartbeat.

Letterpad

As the creators of Tiny Towers, Pocket Planes, and Nimble Quest, NimbleBit know a thing or two about making fantastic mobile games. But can they see the same success on an even smaller screen? The upcoming word game Letterpad looks to find out, challenging players to make words on a 3×3 grid that match with the clue provided.

BlastBall Duo

The recently released (and Apple featured) BlastBall MAX has been seeing some real love on the App Store – but this is only the beginning. This puzzler is also getting a 1-on-1 version, and you’ll be able to play it right on your Apple Watch.

Elementary Minute

Trivia games are wildly popular on the App Store (just ask Trivia Crack), and the ability to play them quickly matters almost as much as the questions themselves. Elementary Minute values your time, presenting you with a statement that you can confirm as true or false by swiping up or down on your Apple Watch. 2,Nathan Drake’s character arc is stretching on further than expected. Sony today announced that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will not make its 2015 release window, instead slipping into spring of 2016.

“Since we showed you our first gameplay reveal of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, more of the game and story have come together, and it’s become clear to us that this game is much more ambitious than we originally envisioned,” co-directors Bruce Straley and Neil Druckman explained in a statement on Sony’s official PlayStation Blog, adding, “Giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End not only meets the team’s high standards, but the
high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title.”

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has had an eventful development cycle. It was announced in late 2013 as a project headed up by creative director Amy Hennig and director Justin Richmond. However, Hennig left the studio last March, and was soon followed by Richmond. Sony set the 2015 release window just months after those departures, at E3 2014 last June.

Although it’s still early in the year, the delay leaves Sony without an obvious exclusive tentpole for the holiday season. Just how significant that might be is debatable; Sony’s highest profile exclusives last holiday season were the mid-year re-release The Last of Us Remastered, LittleBigPlanet 3, and Driveclub, yet the PS4 still sold 4.1 million systems in the holiday period.(source:gamesindustry

3,Are you having trouble downloading anything from the App Store right now? It’s not just you – this is a widespread outage. Reports started spreading around among users this morning, and eventually our sister site MacRumors reported that this was a global issue, and that Apple only updated their system status page well after the outages had begun. As of noon central time today, the App Store is still down. This includes iTunes in general, iBooks, and the Mac App Store, so this is affecting a lot of services. Some users were getting error messages, but you may not get one right now if you try – you may just get a “GET” button that starts to download and then returns to say “GET” when you try.(source:toucharcade

4,The co-founder of Heyzap, Jude Gomila, has criticised what he terms an industry-wide “vendor overload for mobile applications”.

Speaking to PocketGamer.biz at GDC 2015, the entrepeneur said the issue lay in the fact that there are “too many SDKs” available to developers.

“Most people think about mobile from the applications side,” he says.

“But they don’t think about all the other services that power these applications.”

Particularly in the mobile ad space, while the SDK was designed to increase efficiency and monetization for the provider and downloader, the format’s popularity is ironically becoming its Achilles Heel.

Too many choices

Gomila explains that SDK fragmentation can cause a number of issues for developers, not least of which interoperability problems where “one function of an SDK can block or break another.”

Other problems Gomila highlighted include too much choice, the increasing of app filesizes, and updating issues requiring more app maintenance.

“I don’t think the issue is going to go away super(source:pocketgamer.biz
