调查结果表明，掌机仍然是最受玩家欢迎的游戏平台，占美国受访者的56%，英国受访者的62%。

与此同时，这56%的美国掌机游戏用户也玩移动设备游戏，其中有59%的用户玩社交游戏，40%的用户玩MMOs游戏。而62%的英国掌机游戏用户同时也玩移动设备上的游戏，其中有56%的人玩社交游戏，34%的人玩MMOs游戏。

Console gamers expanding to mobile, social titles
        
Market research firm Newzoo’s National Gamers Survey has revealed that PC and console gamers are broadening their gaming horizons by playing games on social networks and mobile devices.

The survey categorises a total of 192.5 million gamers across both the US and UK into seven groups: console (also includes portable consoles), MMOs, PC/Mac (boxed), PC/Mac (digital), online casual, social networks, and mobile devices (including the iPod Touch and iPad).

The survey suggests that although consoles are still the most popular platforms of choice – making up 56 per cent of all US respondents and 62 per cent of all British respondents – 56 per cent of US console gamers also play games on mobiles, 59 per cent play on social networks and 40 per cent play MMOs.
 
In the UK 66 per cent of console gamers also play games on mobile devices, 56 per cent play on social networks and 34 per cent play MMOs.

Newzoo also found that console gamers were the most likely to spend money on games, with 72 per cent of US gamers and 75 per cent of UK ones forking out to play.（source:computerandvideogames）
