Mark Pincus is the founder of Tribe Networks, SupportSoft and Zynga. He is currently CEO of Zynga, an online social gaming network.

Pincus grew up in Chicago. After business school, he spent a short stint working at TCI and Liberty Media out of Denver, but left to launch Freeloader, and moved to Washington, D.C. and subsequently San Francisco, California, United States. After selling Freeloader, Pincus launched Support.com (today publicly traded as Supportsoft nasd: sprt), and then Tribe.net.

Mark Pincus caused controversy in the blogosphere in July 2006 when he disclosed that SixApart was attempting to censor his blog posting, by requesting that he not write about allegations that in 1992 whilst a student at Harvard Business School Murry Gunty had attempted to rig the elections of the school’s prestigious Finance Club.

Pincus holds a Bachelors of Science in Economics from the Wharton School and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
