进入2010年之后，Android的应用开发进入了一个爆炸式增长的状态，从去年的不到1万款应用程序增加到现在的9万，而且即将突破10万，这也从开发者这一方面展现了Android用户不断增多的现象。不过需要注意的是，虽然数值的增长速度很快，Google还得做好相关的审查工作，尽快提高 Android电子市场整体的应用质量，改善应用的盈利环境。

随着Droid X、Droid2、Galaxy S等高配置Android手机的上市，全3D手机游戏也将会在更多的手机上运行，而Android 2.2版系统也将会给低配置手机带来效能上的提升，Google也公布了更多的新API给开发者使用，这也保持了Android应用持续增长的趋势。

According to AndroLib’s reporting, the Android app market has just crossed the 90,000 mark, and at the current rate of growth is expected to cross the 6-figure mark by the end of the month.

According to this chart, over 8,000 apps have been added in the month of July so far, and as of this writing, it’s currently the 11th, which is pretty amazing, and does support the claim that the market is likely to hit 100,000 by the end of the month.

Sure, not all of the apps are amazing, but a bigger pool to draw from means that we are likely to have more good apps, and the greater the likelihood that you can find the app you need.  And to make it better, somewhere between half and two-thirds of those apps are free.  This time last year, there were about 1,000 apps, and in the last few weeks, multiple new devices were announced, so we can expect those numbers to continue to climb as more and more phones hit the market.

Google has stated that their intent is not to kill the iPhone, but I would certainly be thrilled to see the Android app market surpass the Apple App Store in terms of number of apps in the upcoming months.
