Middle East smartphone usage on the rise
InMobi says the growing usage of smartphones in the Middle East is being reflected in the traffic being generated by its mobile ad network.
Specifically, the company says smartphones accounted for 40 per cent of its mobile ad impressions in the region between July and October 2010.
Overall, InMobi says its total monthly ad impressions from the Middle East increased by 51 per cent during the three-month period to reach 752 million a month.
Nokia devices are now accounting for two-thirds of the company’s monthly mobile ad impressions in the region.
Back in December, InMobi revealed that its ad impressions in Europe had increased by 88 per cent increase in size in just 90 days, fuelled by iPhone and Android.（source:mobile-ent）
